Arsenal ‘on red alert’ as Inter Milan prepare to sell Joao Mario and name their asking price
The Portugal midfielder has been monitored by the Gunners and Luciano Spalletti is ready to cash in on the 24-year-old.
An asking price of €30m (£27m) has been quoted, according to Tuttosport, which could prove enticing for Arsene Wenger.
The box-to-box midfielder will inject energy and drive to support the Gunners’ attacking stars with a battle for a top four finish likely to be decided by the thinnest of margins this term.

The Arsenal star is out of contract at the end of the season and is no nearer to signing a new deal.
Several reports have linked the 29-year-old with a transfer to Manchester United. And should Ozil move to Old Trafford, it would see him link up with former manager Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils boss, who tutored Ozil at Real Madrid, has publicly spoken of his admiration for the German before.

Arsenal have the best record of all the clubs in the top two divisions of English football use their own academy players.
Gunners academy graduates have played a combined total of 4,758 minutes for the club in all competitions this season.
That represents almost a quarter (24%) of all the minutes played by the club’s stars.
Hector Bellerin top the list with 1,260 minutes.
He’s followed by Alex Iwobi (634 minutes), Jack Wilshere (611 minutes) and Francis Coquelin (529 minutes).
