Thousands flock to Paris Saint-Germain club store as Ligue 1 side unveil £199m signing Neymar
The Brazilian arrived in Paris on Friday to put the finishing touches to his world record £199million deal.
Neymar, who is set to earn a staggering £40million a year, has stunned the football world with his Barcelona exit.
A select number of the Nou Camp faithful have been left angered by the Brazilian’s decision to leave and have taken to burning his shirt.
But the same can’t be said of PSG’s fans who turned up to a club store in their thousands to get their hands on a shirt with Neymar on the back.
The 25-year-old explained his decision to join the Ligue 1 giants on Thursday night, he said: “Since I arrived in Europe, the club has always been one of the most competitive and most ambitious.
“And the biggest challenge, what most motivated me to join my new teammates is to help the club to conquer the titles that their fans want.
“Paris Saint-Germain’s ambition attracted me to the club, along with the passion and the energy this brings.”
