AY Makun: Comedian sympathises with Lekki Gardens accident victims
Comedian and show host, AY Makun has joined the list of sympathisers who showed concern regarding the recent building collapse at Lekki Gardens.
He penned a note expressing his sadness concerning the unfortunate incident, which led to loss of lives after a heavy rain downpour caused the building which contained mainly construction workers, was caused to collapse.
He called for prayers on behalf of the families and relations of those who have departed, acknowledging that no amount of sweet talk can comfort them at this time.
“Let us standup and pray for all the families who have suffered and wish them peace in knowing that their loved ones may have gone on ahead of them to be with God Almighty.”
Makun, who revealed that he was a former brand ambassador to Lekki Gardens was particularly full of pity for the MD of the real estate company, Mr. Richard Nyong , mentioning that he was a victim of circumstance.

He said, “As much as I still believe in the vision of Mr Richard Nyong’s Lekki Garden Real Estate project that has delivered over 6,000 homes to Nigerians, I want to hold hands with the Lekki Gardens family and grow stronger during this time of despair, and pray for a man whom has become a victim of circumstance.”
“A man who truly cares for others. A man who has helped a lot of people within and outside his community. A man who single handedly handled the constructions and repairs of Government roads within Lekki. A creator of employment to thousands.”
Cool FM OAP, Freeze, also gave his comments concerning the accident recently. He questioned why Nyong’s case received more attention than Synagogue clergy, Prophet T.B. Joshua whose guest house building collapse was also responsible for a lot of death.
He termed it as unfair to persecute the less influential in the society.
