All members of the APC in Adamawa state stand the risk of being sacked by their party if they accept any appointment from the state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, who is of the PDP.

Governor Fintiri recently appointed some members of the APC in positions in the state, but the opposition party has told its members to turn down the offer, The Nation reported.

Mohammed Abdullahi, the spokesperson for the APC in a statement on Wednesday, June 3, said it is against the party’s constitution for members to accept positions from other parties.

“We refer to the recent appointments released by the PDP Government in the State that featured the names of some members of our Great Party and wish to draw the attention of the appointees to Article 9.5 of the APC Constitution which states that any party member that accepts a political appointment from any political party or opposition government ceases to be a member of APC,” the party said.

In another report, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Ondo state governor, declared that he has no plan to defect to another party to contest the governorship election because he is sure of victory both at the All Progressives Congress (APC) party primaries and at the main elections.

The Nation reported that Akeredolu who dismissed allegations of having plan B in case he lost at the primary said residents in the state were aware of his achievements.

Legit.ng gathered that Akeredolu who spoke through his commissioner for information and orientation, Donald Ojogo, said he was not interested in the crisis rocking the Unity Forum of the party but would rather focus on the process of bringing everybody together.
