The students who carried placards with inscriptions such as “Our cleaners are dying, pay them,” “No hostel for females living with mosquitoes, living with snakes. We came to learn not to die”, “Give us our sports money #2000 Management fraud,” and others warned that the Institutes remains shut down until their three point demands are met ninety percent.
The students who for fear of victimization pleaded with our Delta State correspondent not to quote their names lamented that about forty-eight students live n a room in the hostel which has now been overtaken by snakes and weeds.
The students also noted that there is no light in the laboratory for students to do practical works.
They added that the institute’s management allegedly collected two thousand naira from them and tendered only Five Hundred Thousand Naira as against three million Six Hundred Thousand Naira for students’ week which is billed for Monday, June 12.
